Jagiellonian Centre for Artificial Intelligence is a research unit dedicated to developing the university’s potential in the field of artificial intelligence. The Centre conducts advanced research, supports the development of innovative AI-based solutions, and fosters collaboration between academia and industry. Its activities also include initiating national and international cooperation, facilitating knowledge transfer, and promoting the application of artificial intelligence across various fields of science and the economy.

The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:
• hold at least a doctoral degree;
• have an appropriate scientific track record;
• actively participate in academic life.
Additional requirements necessary for employment (indicated in order of priority)

• research experience in the field of artificial intelligence or machine learning (publications, preprints, or participation in research projects);
• very strong foundations in mathematics (linear algebra, mathematical analysis, probability theory);
• documented scientific track record, including publications in peer-reviewed conferences (main track) and journals from top-tier venues in machine learning, as listed by ELLIS at: ellis.eu/research/approved-publication-venues-list;
• proven programming skills demonstrated in research or engineering projects
