Bioinformatics Core in the Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville has an opening for a FULL-TIME postdoctoral research position in bioinformatics and computational biology. The research project will focus on the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, CLIP-seq, etc.) and IMC data (CyTOF and Hyperion). The candidate will also work on developing novel computational and statistical methods for the analysis of massive genome and transcriptome data. Highly motivated candidates with prior relevant experience are encouraged to apply. The position offers an excellent opportunity to conduct research in a stimulating environment and to collaborate with bioinformaticians, biologists, and cancer clinicians.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications (following NIH postdoc stipend levels).
The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in one of the following areas: Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or other disciplines with a strong quantitative background. Knowledge in biology or genetics is desired but not required. The candidate should be familiar with programming languages R, Perl, or Python.
If you are interested in the position, please send a short cover letter stating why you believe you would be a good candidate for the position and a detailed CV to Dr. Juw Won Park (juw.park@louisville.edu) by email.
