This position requires broad-based experience in protein docking and virtual screening with ultra-large ligand libraries, bioinformatics analysis workflows, and hardware and software support. The incumbent works closely with the BSBC Director and interacts routinely with UNMC investigators and other scientists. This person coordinates the activities of core staff, carries out necessary development work in ligand screening, prepares reports, and presents research progress at meetings and conferences.
Ph.D. in computational biology, computational chemistry, or computer science with complementary experience in structural biology and drug screening.
