The Won Lab is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary research program at the intersection of single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, and artificial intelligence.
Our lab is internationally recognized for contributions to scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics, and we are now actively developing agentic AI systems to accelerate biological discovery—moving beyond analysis toward autonomous hypothesis generation, experimental planning, and interpretation.
Research Environment
You will join a collaborative, fast-paced lab that integrates:
Large-scale single-cell and spatial transcriptomic datasets
Cutting-edge computational genomics
Development of agentic AI frameworks tailored for biological research
Close interaction between wet-lab, computational, and AI-focused scientists
This position offers significant intellectual freedom and opportunities to shape new directions at the frontier of AI-driven biology.
Responsibilities
Lead independent research projects in single-cell and/or spatial transcriptomics
Develop or apply AI/ML and agentic AI systems for biological data analysis and discovery
Integrate multimodal genomic data to address fundamental biological questions
PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computer Science, Systems Biology, or a related field
Strong background in single-cell RNA-seq and/or spatial transcriptomics
Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or AI systems is highly desirable
Proficiency in Python/R and relevant bioinformatics or ML frameworks
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
