The research focuses on developing innovative bioinformatics methods to address biological questions through the integration of molecular data with a focus on clonal systems (cancer and microbes). The group is focuses on research topics related to network biology and AI-based inference of protein and regulatory interactions. 30% of your time will involve education (teaching practical exercises and theory in bioinformatics at bachelor and master level).

Qualifications

• You hold a doctoral degree preferably Doctor of Science, or Doctor of Engineering, or Doctor of Bioscience Engineering with a specialization in bioinformatics or computational biology or in a subject relevant by the selection committee.
• You have already conducted research in the field of bioinformatics (specifically in the areas of data integration, network biology and/or modelling of protein interactions, preferably with a focus on the development of computational methods and/or AI-based methods)
• Good programming skills and mathematical insights are a prerequisite
• You are profoundly interested in coaching students in the Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or Advanced Master’s programmes
