Key responsibilities and duties

Lead the project management of the Biomedical Data Hub and related institutional data initiatives.
Support the design, implementation, and piloting of data management pipelines in line with FAIR principles and data governance requirements.
Coordinate with research teams, scientific platforms, and administrative staff to align data management practices with institutional strategy.
Organize training and provide support for researchers in data management and open science.
Liaise with external partners and infrastructures to ensure interoperability and foster strategic collaborations.

Qualifications

Minimum experience (years)

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining research data management pipelines and infrastructures, with a solid understanding of storage systems and interoperability frameworks.
Proven ability to coordinate institutional programs, manage staff and resources, and engage effectively with interdisciplinary research teams.
Familiarity with APIs, workflow integration, and the implementation of best practices for FAIR and Open Science.

Education and field of expertise

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Technical skills

Strong understanding of research data management pipelines, including data capture, processing, storage, and sharing workflows.
Knowledge of metadata standards, ontologies, and interoperability frameworks relevant to biomedical research.
Familiarity with APIs and workflow integration, enabling connection between institutional systems and external research infrastructures.
Understanding of FAIR data principles, Open Science practices, and compliance with data governance and security requirements.

Advanced level of English. Catalan and/or Spanish will also be valued.

Soft skills

Excellent organizational and communication skills, with experience in researcher training and project support.
Proven ability to lead, plan, and organize within a team-oriented environment.
Initiative and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary context.
