Postdoctoral Researcher

Purdue University
USA Indiana West Lafayette

Description

The laboratories of Drs. Nadia Lanman (Institute for Cancer Research) and Ananth Grama (Computer Science) are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to perform computational analyses and multi-scale
modeling on multi-modal data generated on invasive urothelial carcinoma tumors. The focus of the research is to develop a cross-species digital twin for predicting metastasis in patients with invasive urothelial carcinoma. Imaging data, including radiographs, ultrasounds, CT scans, and H&E slides, will be analyzed and models generated to predict metastasis in individual patients. These models will be integrated and correlated with systems models that we are generating from molecular-level data.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Computer Science/Statistics or a related field
is required along with experience in Linux, proficiency in at least one programming languages (e.g. Python, R,
Perl, Java, C/C++) and experience with either high-throughput sequencing data (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, ChIPSeq, scRNA-seq) analysis, imaging analysis, or systems biology. The candidate must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Preferred: experience performing imaging data and/or single-cell RNA-seq data analysis.
