Summary of Position

As an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer – Digital Pathology, you will collaborate in cross-functional teams to design, implement, and continually improve advanced digital vision computational models and pipelines for high-throughput analysis of digital pathology images. You will refine methodologies for data analysis, processing, visualization, and storage. You will strive to maximize efficiency, quality, reliability, and customer usability and satisfaction.



Key Job Elements

Develop, maintain, and improve the digital pathology platforms.
Develop machine learning pipelines that are integrated into digital pathology platforms for anatomic pathology and oncology.
Collaborate with cross-functional to integrate software findings into clinical applications.
Document tasks, methodologies, and outcomes to contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Communicate key findings to stakeholders in the form of reports and presentations.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and research methodologies, integrating this knowledge into novel solutions that contribute to research objectives.
Actively participate in meetings and educational opportunities on AI and medicine.


Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum of two years post-graduate work experience in a related field for Bachelor's level candidates.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL, with experience in data analysis and machine learning tools such as PyTorch, Pandas, scikit-learn, or Tensorflow.
Ability to develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end code using modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Ability to integrate AI models and APIs into the front-end, ensuring seamless interaction and real-time data visualization.
Ability to optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Experience with AI technologies and integrating AI components into web applications.
Hands-on experience with AI projects, particularly those involving medical imaging or pathology.
Understanding of digital pathology and basic pathology-related images, including knowledge of different stains, is a plus.
Experience analyzing multi-modal healthcare-related datasets and robust statistical knowledge is a plus.
Must enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot both individually and as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to communicate in an open, transparent, timely and consistent manner.
