The Center for Biomedical Data Science and Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) invite applications for Postdocs in developing machine learning methods for biomedical data analysis. We seek motivated applicants to perform big data-driven translational research in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. Our lab has published papers with leading roles in Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Communications, PNAS, Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Cell. At OHSU, we are dedicated to performing translational research, inspired by Dr. Brian Druker’s pioneering work in Gleevec for cancer treatment. Each of our previous trainees has published first-author papers in high-impact journals like Nature and Nature Biotechnology, and has found their dream job in academia or industry (Genentech and BMS).
This position is supported by grants for transfer-learning-based single-cell modeling to accelerate AI for cancer research, as well as by the Prostate Cancer Data Science Award.

• Familiar with deep learning models including RNN, GCN, Transformer, etc. Experience in machine learning and transfer learning is highly valued.

• First author in one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications.
