Are you ready to take your administrative skills to the next level while making a meaningful impact in the scientific community? The International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) is seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Liaison to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization and supporting our global community of computational biology enthusiasts.

Position: Community Engagement Liaison

Key Responsibilities:
• Email Management: Receive and respond to all mail addressed to admin@iscb.org and events@iscb.org, maintaining clear and effective communication channels.
• Membership Records: Organize and maintain membership records, including complimentary memberships, to ensure the seamless experience of our members.
• Affiliated Groups: Manage affiliated groups, ensuring annual compliance and updating online information, enhancing the value of our community.
• Member Services: Provide excellent member services, assisting with membership access, ISCB Nucleus, and other Society platforms to support our members.
• Journal Subscription Records: Maintain organized records of journal subscriptions, crucial for staying up to date in computational biology.
• Historical Records: Preserve and organize historical records, including officer and board of director history, safeguarding the legacy of ISCB.
• Committee Support: Assist in the logistical organization of teleconferences for committees, ensuring smooth operations.
• Meeting Minutes: Accurately record and distribute minutes of ISCB meetings, a critical part of our transparent communication.
• Grant Funding: Manage administrative tasks associated with ISCB grant funding, including updates and maintenance of SAM, PAMS, and NSF Fastlane.
• Event Support: Be prepared to assist on-site at conferences when needed, facilitating our events.
• Fellowship Program: Manage the ISCB Fellowship program, contributing to the development of future computational biology leaders.
• Bill Preparation: Prepare monthly bills for payment by managing the iscbpayables inbox, ensuring financial accountability.
• CEO Assistance: Provide assistance to the Chief Executive Officer as needed, supporting their responsibilities.
• Staff Collaboration: Participate in in-person staff meetings as required, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements:
• Working knowledge of MS Office products and Google functions.
• Minimum of two years of administrative experience, including one year as a telecommuter.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Tolerance for extended computer use.


Additional Information:
• Estimated average hours weekly: 20-25, guarantee 20 hours
• Work location: Home-based office or an effective telecommuter workstation with internet access.
