Scientist and Senior Scientist roles ideally for applicants with previous experience in genomics, cohort analysis and disease. Suitable for computational scientists with a passion for either data analysis or investigating biological mechanisms for disease. Previous experience is less important than general technical ability or biological knowledge and understanding.
-PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Experience in genomics research and using population genetics tools. An understanding of the statistics and the principles behind it is preferred
-Proven track record of publishing high-impact scientific papers in the field of genomics, or in delivering and completing projects or contributing to consortia objectives.
-Good programming skills, particularly in languages commonly used in bioinformatics such as Python or R
-A desire to learn and embrace new approaches
-Good communication and teamwork skills
