The position is in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of Population Health at NYU and under the supervision of Dr. Huilin Li, Professor, Director of NYU Biostatistics Resource and Metagenomic Data Analysis group. This is a training position designed to learn through an advanced level of scientific research efforts in bioinformatical/statistical methodology development and biomedical collaborations. Applicants must demonstrate interest in omics data analysis. It requires developing statistical and computational methods for analysis of metagenomics, microbiome data and multi-omics data integration; interact with NYULMC multiple research collaborative labs; extensive analysis of multi-modal longitudinal large biomedical studies.
PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or Biostatistics;
Strong quantitative and computational skills;
Ability of analyzing large data sets; Strong communication skills.
Prior experiences in analyzing the high-dimensional genomic/genetic or metagenomic data are preferred.
