Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Bioinformatics (several posts) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 518996), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. The appointee will contribute to the bioinformatics, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, medicine, nursing and pharmacy undergraduate programmes. Applicants should also have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as a team, and be able to multi-task. The appointee will be responsible for teaching, conducting tutorials and demonstrations, supporting curriculum design, and developing teaching materials, etc. He/She will work closely with a team of colleagues dedicated to the development and delivery of innovative pedagogical approaches to improve student learning across several undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, biomedical data science, or a related discipline. Excellent motivation in teaching and learning should be demonstrated in teaching bioinformatics and related disciplines. The position offered depends on level of expertise and years of teaching experience.
