he Computational Research Facilitation (CRF) group within Research Information Technologies (RIT) at the Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is looking for a Systems Analyst II to join our team. CRF helps JAX biomedical researchers conduct complex data analyses using on-premises and cloud-based high-performance computing resources. CRF also provides teaching, troubleshooting, and technical consultation services to researchers across JAX.
PhD with 3 years of experience in relevant areas of programming and data analysis; or a master's degree with 5 years experience in relevant area of programming and data analysis. Life sciences research background; hands-on experience with a broad spectrum of high throughput biological data collection (e.g. next-generation sequencing, microscopy, or mass-spectrometry), and analysis methods. Advanced interpersonal skills needed for developing complex, dynamic relationships with a diverse variety of individuals representing a broad cross-section of cultures, technical disciplines and levels of computational sophistication.
