Researcher in single cell genomics and ML

University of Wisconsin-Madison
United States Wisconsin

Description

Several reseach positions are immediately available in Dr. Sushmita Roy's research group to work at the intersection of single cell genomics and machine learning to decipher gene regulatory networks driving cell fate decisions. This position entails developing methods that will integrate single cell multi-omic datasets to define cell type-specific gene regulatory networks and will be broadly applicable to diverse mammalian lineages from in vivo and in vitro systems. We work in close collaboration with developmental biologists and stem cell engineers at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.

Qualifications

Ideal applicants will have a strong background and experience in developing and implementing algorithms and an interest to do research in an interdisciplinary field. Experience with genomic datasets will be considered as a plus. Typical applicants for the postdoctoral position will have a PhD is computer science, statistics, data science, computational biology or a related field.

How to Apply

To apply, please send (1) CV with publications, (2) statement of research describing current research and future goals, and, (3) contact information of two references. Please send this information to sroy[at]biostat.wisc.edu.
