The Computational Biology Branch (CBB) of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to perform data-driven research in network biology of gene regulation and disease. The main focus of the research is on developing novel algorithmic and machine learning methods to advance research in these areas. NLM is one of 27 Institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). CBB has a broad network of experimental collaborators across these institutes.


Applicants must have a doctorate degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a similar quantitative discipline. Experience in developing novel efficient optimization algorithms, machine learning methods, or statistical approaches is required. Individuals with both theoretical and applied backgrounds with strong computational skills are encouraged to apply.
