Description

The Anafi lab is part of the Chronobiology and Sleep Institute and the Penn Institute for Biomedical Informatics. We develop computational methods to understand the role of sleep and circadian rhythms in biology and medicine.

NIH funded projects are concentrated on understanding circadian pathways in cancer and neurodegeneration. Collaborative projects combine computational analysis with experiments to better understand disease mechanisms, develop new diagnostic tools, and suggest therapeutic targets
