Description

Longevity Bioinformatics is among the most exciting science topics available right now!
The Institute for Biostatistics and Informatics in Medicine and Ageing Research at the Rostock University Medical Center (Germany) expects two openings at the beginning of 2022, on the postdoctoral and on the predoctoral level, for approximately 3 years.

You will support an observational human+mouse study on senescence/inflammation biomarkers of cancer-associated (co-)morbidity, an interventional human study on anti-inflammatory dietary geroprotection, and/or a preclinical development effort countering fibrosis of eye tissue. You will work with transcriptomics, proteomics, clinical chemistry, microbiome and related data, and use machine learning, network biology and/or data integration methodology, all in a highly interdisciplinary manner, towards translation (potentially giving rise to a longevity biotech startup). You can make a difference, enabling people to have a healthier (and longer) life.

Qualifications

You need adequate programming skills (e.g. Python and/or R), academic writing and communication skills; for the postdoctoral level, you need to be in the closing months of your doctoral degree; for the predoctoral level, you need to be in the closing months of your Master’s degree.

Start date

As soon as possible
