Advance hope, medical science, statistical science, and your career as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biostatistics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a fellow you will join the faculty in the Department of Biostatistics in providing statistical support and developing innovative statistical methods for research projects at the cutting edge of biomedical research.

The department is seeking outstanding postdoctoral fellows to engage in the development of statistical methodology and software for complex biomedical data such as longitudinal, imaging, wearable device, and genetic/genome studies with broad application in pediatric cancer and mental health. A position is also available in statistical research to develop and improve individualized treatment rules using machine learning methods on electronic health records data and clinical trial studies.

A recent Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or closely related field is required. Strong background in functional data analysis, imaging data analysis, nonparametric statistics, high dimensional data modeling, statistical learning, multivariate data analysis, survival data analysis, statistical genetics, and deep learning are all considered as a plus. Applicants must have a strong computational background and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Qualifications

Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or closely related field is required.
