A postdoctoral position is available at Pennsylvania State University to investigate how natural selection shapes human evolution and disease, under the supervision of Dr. Yifei Huang (yifei-lab.github.io). The postdoctoral scholar will combine population genetic methods and machine learning techniques to explore genomic determinants of negative selection, positive selection, and/or human accelerated evolution in genes and cis-regulatory elements.
The ideal candidates will have a PhD or equivalent degree, with relevant training in at least one field related to population genomics, comparative genomics, functional genomics, molecular evolution, or statistics/machine learning. Experience in analyzing large-scale population/comparative genomic data or implementing machine learning/statistical models is a plus.
If you are interested, please submit your application electronically to tinyurl.com/bzdmcfck. For further information please email Dr. Yifei Huang at yuh371@psu.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
