Description

This position will broadly contribute to the creation of bioinformatics tools and the use of those tools to perform biomedical analyses. Initially, this position will focus on BioThings Explorer (github.com/biothings/BioThings_Explorer_TRAPI ), a tool that focuses on interoperability of application programming interfaces (APIs) to support biomedical data integration. BioThings Explorer allows users to easily query a federated, heterogeneous knowledge graph.

Scientific interests in the lab include drug repurposing, infectious diseases, and Alzheimer's Disease. BioThings Explorer will be used in these ongoing projects, though we aim to build tools that can be applied to any area of biology.
