Postdoctoral positions in computational biology in Elisabetta Dejana group

IFOM
Italy MI Milano

Description

We are looking for one postdoctoral researcher with expertise in computational biology to join the New Strategies to Inhibit Tumor Angiogenesis Lab (Elisabetta Dejana Group) at IFOM. The successful candidate will be involved primarily in a cancer project focused on the role of the tumor microenvironment in myeloid neoplasms and acute leukemias development, in order to analyze transcriptomic and proteomic data obtained with high throughput sequencing approach as RNA- Seq and Single Cell Multi-omics Analysis combined with Next Generation Tools for Tissue Exploration (i.e. Spatial Transcriptomics, CARTANA). Moreover, the candidate will focus his/her attention on circulating biomarker profiling (i.e. miRNA and protein biomarkers) analyzed by different approaches as miRNA Sequencing and Proximity Extension Assay, in order to identify predictive and prognostic biomarkers of the disease/ progression. Therefore, we are especially looking for outstanding motivated ambitious candidates, with a proven track record of experience and at least one publication in the field of computational biology, interested in working in an international and competitive research environment.
The group has a long standing, internationally recognized experience in the field of vascular biology. Our research programs are focused to understand the biology of endothelial cells in both physiological and pathological conditions. The successful candidate will be therefore involved also in other related projects. The development of new methods and tools for data analysis is expected to be part of the postdoctoral research activity as well. English is the working language at IFOM.
