The Bioinformatics Scientist shall be responsible for:

Working with leading researchers who have collected an array of data (e.g., host and viral genomic sequencing, transcriptomics, phenotypes, lab measurements) to understand immune responses of patients hospitalized with COVID-19.
Building pipelines for quality control and data analysis, integration of multiple data sources, data management and deposition of data to public repositories.
Developing collaborative relationships, demonstrating a desire to enable and support scholarly work, interest in a wide range of research domains beyond your area of expertise, and the ability and the desire to work in a team environment.

In order to qualify you must have:

Master’s degree or higher in Bioinformatics, computational biology or a closely related field, and at least two years’ experience.
Knowledge and experience in the use of open source bioinformatics software and next generation sequencing pipelines to support diverse bioinformatics analyses such as RNAseq, WGS, proteomics, metabolomics, immunophenotyping, etc.
Proficiency with Python and R required; experience with deep learning, statistics, SQL, Git, scientific workflow tools, HPC and/or cloud computing would be a bonus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passion for new technologies and science.
