The Department of BioHealth Informatics at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis has an open postdoctoral position to study computational proteomics. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2020. This is an annual renewable appointment for up to five years subject to performance and funding. The postdoc will work with Dr. Xiaowen Liu ( xwliu.pages.iu.edu/ ) on designing and implementing algorithms and machine learning models for analyzing mass spectrometry data. Research areas will be focused on algorithm design, machine learning, and proteomics data analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in computing, statistics, or bioinformatics; a strong background in data analytics, machine learning, and mathematical modeling, a strong interest in bioinformatics, and solid C++ programming skills for software development in Linux.
