Description

The Division of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics of the U.S FDA’s National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) seeks a qualified postdoctoral candidate in the field of bioinformatics and/or genomics. The position is open immediately requires a diverse range of expertise in data mining, machine learning, statistics, biological database manipulation and biology. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, computer science, computational biology, or statistics. The candidate must demonstrate experience with machine learning and big data analysis. Experience with next generation sequencing technologies will be a huge plus. Knowledge in toxicology and biology will be highly beneficial. The starting salary is from $65K/year depending on the experience.


Qualifications

The position is applied to the candidates with U.S. citizenship or permanent resident alien status (not H-1 visa holder). The foreign applicants can enroll the program with J1 visa. The applicants with Optional Practical Training (OPT) are encouraged to apply but the conversion to J1 visa needs to take place within a year after joining the program.
