The Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania is recruiting a Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow. Our lab has a long-term interest in studying the epigenetics of cell differentiation, stem cell homeostasis, and cellular aging. The recruits will have an opportunity of developing informatics and machine learning algorithms for DNA methylation BeadChip assay and single-cell epigenetic assays. The objective of this method development is to query cell identity and replicative history utilizing high throughput sequencing technologies and advanced epigenetic profiling. Toward this aim, the recruit will be teamed up with research partners from both academic research institutions and leading companies in the industry to push the envelope of the DNA methylation informatics. More about our research can be found at zhou-lab.github.io. Candidates should have systematic training in statistics, R programming, and be seasoned in genomics data analysis. Prior experience in Bioconductor package development, DNA methylation data analysis, single-cell genomics, or epigenetics is highly desirable.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related fields. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and prior experience. Interested applicants should email the PI with (1) a CV with publication records; and (2) three letters of recommendation.
