Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine and international Enhancing Neuro Imaging Genetics Meta Analyses (ENIGMA) consortium is accepting applications for a fellowship to apply big data/machine learning methods in leading large-scale studies on origins of neuropsychiatric disorders and suicidal ideations. This position is available at the laboratory of Dr. Peter Kochunov that developed novel methods to perform large scale studies. Current research areas include development of function and structural connectivity measurements of risks for suicidal behaviors.
General educational activities will include internal courses on psychopathology, neuroimaging, genetics, journal clubs, meetings with invited outside senior researchers, grant writing workshops, and individualized career development.
Applicants are expected to hold an advance degree (M.D. or Ph.D) in computer science, medical physics, computational biology, psychology or neuroscience. This position is open to US and international scholars.
