The Department of Biological Sciences (www.albany.edu/biology), at the University at Albany, State University of New York, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of Bioinformatics and systems Biology. The applicant should have expertise in generating and analyzing large complex data sets that could be from next generation sequencing, mass spectrometry, high content imaging, large scale genomics or metabolomics experiments, among others, with a research program that has applications to human health. Candidates with expertise in nucleic acids, biochemistry or biomanufacturing are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
At least two years of post-doctoral or applied experience.
A strong publication record.
