Description

The Department of Computer Science at Baylor University seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Bioinformatics, a commitment to excellence in teaching, exhibit potential to support an independent research agenda, and effective communication and organization skills. Selected candidates will be expected to initiate and carry out research and to perform academic duties associated with our undergraduate and graduate programs. Candidates with transdisciplinary specialties related to Bioinformatic and Computational Biology are encouraged to apply.

The Department: Computer Science is one of three departments in the School of Engineering and Computer Science. It offers an ABET-accredited B.S. in Computer Science, a B.A. with a major in Computer Science, a B.S. in Informatics with a major in Bioinformatics, a B.S. in Computing with a major in Computer Science Fellows, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science. The Department has 16 full-time faculty, over 280 undergraduate majors and 20 graduate students. The Department’s greatest strength is dedication of the faculty members to the success of the students and each other.
