Applications are invited from recent PhDs in the areas of Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics/computational biology or related field. Strong ability in the application of machine-leaning methods and computer programming is essential. Our primary interests are in the development of statistically rigorous computational tools for solving problems in gene regulation, cancer and bioinformatics.
Our current interests are in the development of novel informatics methods to identify differential alternative splicing/promoter events in heterogeneous cancer samples and normal tissues, and predicting and validating transcriptional networks at isoform-level by application of recent machine learning methods. The candidate is expected to work in a highly collaborative fast paced environment, with regular interactions with clinicians and molecular biology experts.
