Georgia State University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate levels, in the areas of computational genomics and bioinformatics. This candidate will join a new interdisciplinary cluster of faculty from public health, computer science, and biomedical sciences as part of a university wide effort to deepen a select number of strong research areas. Candidates should have a strong background in one of the following areas: bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematical modeling, and data analysis. A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related areas, is required. Preference will be given to those candidates who have a strong record of independent or collaborative research and teaching, and a strong potential for securing external funding.
