Scientist - EMR Oncology

Description

Sema4 Genomics is seeking a talented, self-motivated individual to participate in leading edge research in translational bioinformatics as a member of the R&D bioinformatics group. Successful applicant will be part of an interdisciplinary team that develop and apply tools and databases to analyze large-scale human cancer clinical data and genetic data in electronic medical records (EMR) to better understand treatment responses and clinical outcome in cancer patients in order to guide personalized cancer therapy. Successful applicant may also play a role in developing systems for integrating novel informatics tools and methodologies into clinical practice.


Qualifications

Deep expertise in cancer biology understanding various oncogenic pathways.
Deep expertise in clinical oncology understanding clinical practice in cancer patient care.
Prior experience analyzing electronic medical record or electronic health record data.
Prior experience analyzing cancer patient clinical and genetic data.
A track record of leading cross-disciplinary biomedical projects.
Strong genomics and genetics background is preferred but not required.
Prior hands-on experience in analyzing cancer genomic data is preferred but not required.
Prior experience in relational databases and SQL/MySQL is preferred but not required.
