Description

The Przytycka lab (Algorithmic Methods in Computational and Systems Biology Section at NCBI ) seeks postdoctoral candidates to develop novel algorithms and approaches for the analysis of mutational landscape of cancer, gene regulation, and/or single cell data analysis.
The research in Przytycka's group concentrates on computational modeling and analysis of biological processes, with emphases on hypothesis and theory-driven questions that are enabled by large-scale data analysis using graph theoretical, machine learning, and other algorithmic approaches. We are particularly interested in the dynamical properties of biological systems including spatial, temporal and/or contextual variation and exploring how such variations are impacting gene expression, how they affect network topology, function, and the phenotype of the organism. For more information visit our webpage at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/CBBresearch/Przytycka/index.cgi#research .

Qualifications

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with an experience in bioinformatics / mathematics / computer science. Experience in Algorithm Design, Optimization Techniques, Machine Learning, or related experience along with programming skills are essential. Ph.D. degree is required. Applicants should have less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience.
