Description

Applications are invited from ambitious, independent and motivated candidates to work with Professor Ramana Davuluri in the areas of Translational Bioinformatics and Cancer Genomics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, or computational biology. Strong ability in the application of statistical pattern recognition methods and computer programming is essential. Our primary interests are in the development of statistically rigorous computational tools for solving problems in systems biology and bioinformatics.
Our current interests are in the development of novel statistical methods to identify differential alternative splicing/promoter events in heterogeneous cancer samples and normal tissues, and predicting and validating transcriptional networks at isoform-level. The candidate is expected to work in a highly collaborative fast paced environment, with regular interactions with clinicians and molecular biology experts.


Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, or computational biology. Strong ability in the application of statistical pattern recognition methods and computer programming is essential.
