Data Steward (f/m)

Your Role

You will implement the Research Data Management for biomedical research at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB).
The data steward (Research and development specialist) is responsible for the management and usability of data and metadata and reports in the day-to day operations to the senior data steward. This involves interactions with local, national and international stakeholders in biomedical, clinical, translational research to

Implement procedures for adequate data validity, documentation, protection and security.
Ensure data transferred from and to the LCSB meets international standards with respect to formats, metadata, security and validity of processing and data protection.
Assist with monitoring of data protection obligations, data storage management and its compliance with authorities.
Assist with managing contracts and handling data access requests.
Support in data protection impact assessment and dialogue with supervisory authorities.
Support for technical compliance with data protection requirements.
Knowledge management
Improve on procedures/practices, as advancements in the field dictate.
Contribute to the tutoring of UL staff members.


Qualifications

Your Profile

Master’s degree with a background in biomedical or computational sciences
Exposure to biomedical research
Usable programming experience with scripting languages,
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English and preferably also in French and/o
German.
Proven experience of collaborative research, research management and data protection,
Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills are required.
