Description

The Channing Division of Network Medicine (CDNM) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill an NIH T32 post-doctoral fellowship position in systems genetics and genomics of lung diseases.

The research will be done under the mentorship of faculty at CDNM who have expertise in statistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, transcriptomics, epigenetics, metabolomics, and network medicine of complex human diseases. CDNM is the home of multiple respiratory disease studies, which include DNA samples from more than 100,000 individuals. CDNM also has extensive computer resources.

Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree and optimally will have experience with epidemiologic and statistical data analysis. Strong quantitative skills and practical experience working with large-scale datasets and applying epidemiologic tools are a plus. Experience in systems biology and network methods is relevant, and interest in systems genetics and genomics research is essential.

In order to be eligible for support by the CDNM T32 grant, the post-doctoral fellow must be a US Citizen or green-card holder. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is an equal opportunity employer; therefore, women and minority applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
