Multiple bioinformatics positions are available immediately at Shuzhao Li’s lab, Emory University, Atlanta, GA, USA. The positions will be tailored to the best applicants, either as masters-level analyst, postdoc fellow or Ph.D staff scientist. Li lab is building a transdisciplinary team, using computational methods (statistical inference, network models, artificial intelligence) to learn a) human chemistry and b) immunology from big data (scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=lNBq0asAAAAJ).
The 1st golden age of biochemistry predated molecular biology and genomics. Now equipped with revolutionary mass spectrometry, small molecules come back to the spotlight to integrate gene functions, environmental health, pharmacology, nutrition and precision medicine. We are creating a hotspot of interacting between metabolomics, exposomics, immunology, vaccinology and medicine.
The successful applicants are expected to be proficient in Python/R, experienced in –omics data, detail-oriented, organized and a self-starter. Experience in ANY ONE of the following areas is valuable:
• Metabolomics and cheminformatics
• Network reconstruction and modeling
• Software skills, web development (Python, JavaScript), data visualization
• Multi-omics integration
• Data analysis related to immunology, single-cell data
Excellent compensation and benefit package will be provided. Atlanta is a major city in southeast USA, with great diversity and low living cost.
Solid bioinformatics experience in either data analysis or software development
