We are looking for highly motivated PhD students to join the new international training program "Dissecting and re-engineering the regulatory genome", bringing together several research institutes in Berlin led by Humboldt University. Our aim is to teach the next generation of researchers a quantitative understanding of genome function and gene regulation within the context of biological systems.
Our interdisciplinary focus is set at the intersection of high-throughput genomics and genome editing; computational biology and machine learning; and developmental systems biology. Applicants are required to have a competitive track record demonstrating a strong interest in research, as well as a Master's degree in a relevant subject (biology, genetics, bioinformatics, …). Students will carry out parts of their project in our partner labs at Duke University in Durham, NC.
More information on individual projects and application documents can be found at our website: www.regulatory-genome.org
Deadline for full consideration is Sep 15, 2018.
