Description

The Department of Radiology, UC San Diego Health and School of Medicine is looking for a full-time research scientist to join a project to develop a software Breast Disease Assistant by mining electronic health records of patients. Scope of research include:

* Data and text mining from electronic health records
* Modeling cancer treatment guidelines
* Event timeline reconstruction and modeling

Experiences in software development in Python and machine learning related libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch or TensorFlow, are highly welcome.



Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Master in a relevant discipline, including in the areas of machine learning, bioinformatics and systems biology, text mining, and a strong research record.
