Motivated researchers are encouraged to apply for working on projects related to genetics and functional genomics. The candidates are expected to develop pipelines and tools for analysis of genomic datasets to solve problems in cancer biology and genomics, population genetics, and computational genomic data science, and genomic privacy. The candidates will perform extensive NGS data analysis and modeling such as machine learning, statistical model fitting/analysis.
UTHealth is close to many research institutes such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, University of Houston, and Rice University, The candidates can work on developing collaborations with researchers in these institutions.
Experience in programming (R/C++/Java/Python) is necessary. Experience in statistical data modeling and NGS data analysis is a plus.
