Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory invites applications for a Computational Post Doc in the laboratory of Dr. Alexander Dobin. The successful candidates will join a team of biological data scientists working on novel statistical methods and computational algorithms for multi-omics processing and integration, and leverage Big Genomic Data to elucidate various problems in precision health, such as genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of cancer development and progression, and clinical impact of functional variants.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

- Ph.D. level degree in the quantitative or biological sciences.
- Passion for quantitative biology, computational genomics, data analysis and algorithmics.
- Willingness to collaborate with world-renowned experimental labs.

Desired skills:

- Experience in scientific programming (C/C++, Python, Matlab, R); proficiency in Linux.
- Expertise in scientific data visualization (Matlab, R).
- Familiarity with the next-generation sequencing technologies.
