Dr. Shaun Mahony is seeking computational biologists to join his laboratory in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at Penn State University (mahonylab.org). The primary focus of the postdoctoral positions is to develop machine learning approaches for characterizing protein-DNA interactions in very large collections of ChIP-seq and ChIP-exo datasets. Developing and applying these approaches will be carried out in close collaboration with the laboratories of Dr. Frank Pugh and Dr. Ross Hardison. Prior experience developing machine learning applications and/or regulatory genomics analysis methods is strongly preferred.
A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
