The Division of Biomedical Informatics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is looking for a highly motivated Application Developer to join its Data & Technology Services team, which focuses on developing web/mobile data collection/transfer/visualization tools and other novel technologies in support of research and quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to quickly understand the business needs underlying a request, efficiently translate research and clinical workflows into technical requirements, and formulate and implement a technical solution with minimal oversight. Candidates will be expected to have a strong background in Java EE application development (JSF, JPA, EJB, CDI) and experience in building modern web applications, although experience with other programming languages (C#.NET) and a willingness to learn and explore new/alternative technologies are pluses. This is not a simply a programming position; we are looking for smart, self-learning problem-solvers who are knowledgeable in enterprise technologies but also know how to work collaboratively with others to apply these technologies in creative, practical and efficient ways in order to support a greater goal.
