Description

Professor Rivolta’s laboratory is seeking two highly-motivated Postdoctoral Research Associates with interests in human or medical genetics.

In position one research will focus on the identification of novel disease genes, via the analysis of large sets of genetic data from patients with monogenic diseases, and/or of driver mutations in tumours, via the analysis of germline vs. somatic genotypes. Position two will focus on the functional characterization of DNA/protein variants detected in patients with hereditary conditions or with cancer.

The successful candidates will have a background in molecular biology, molecular genetics, computer sciences, or a related field and for post two you will need experience in bioinformatics, allowing you to process data from Next-Generation Sequencing experiments.

Full-time fixed term contract for one year. Two positions available.
