Description

The Greiner Lab [webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~rgreiner/ ] (within the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute [www.amii.ca/ ] at the University of Alberta) is currently looking for postdoctoral fellows who can help our team
(computing scientists with medical researchers and clinicians)
to address a number of very interesting, and important, medical-informatics tasks -- related to
* computational psychiatry,
* diabetes management,
* transplantation,
* oncology, …
as well as foundational topics, like
* survival prediction,
* effectively learning personalized treatment effects,
and so forth.
NOTE: One PDF position focuses on Survival Prediction.

Qualifications

Applicant should have a PhD in Computer Science, or a closely related field.
The ideal candidate has ...

* a research record related to Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
-- eg, first-author papers at ICML, NIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, ...

* experience working on medical projects
-- eg, papers in medical/biological journals, ...
