Description

The Georgiev Laboratory at the Vanderbilt Vaccine Center (www.vumc.org/ig-lab/) has an opening for an R01-funded postdoctoral position in the area of HIV-1 immunology, with a primary focus on characterization of immune responses to HIV-1 infection.


Qualifications

Applicants who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position:

*Ph.D. in immunology, virology, computational biology, or a closely related field
*Prior experience in several of the following areas:
- Assays for characterizing antibody-antigen interactions, such as virus neutralization assays
- Serologic analysis of immune responses
- Antigen-specific B-cell sorting
- Next-generation sequencing of antibody repertoires
- Protein expression and purification, and site-directed mutagenesis
*Experience in computational biology, big data analysis, and/or structural biology is a plus.
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Clear sense of organization, purpose, and accountability
