The Zhou laboratory (zhoulab.dgsom.ucla.edu/) at UCLA, are looking to recruit an outstanding Postdoctoral Scientist to conduct bioinformatics research in non-invasive precision oncology. Blood-based diagnostics, i.e. liquid biopsy, presents the most promising direction for non-invasive early detection of cancer. We are using cutting-edge genomic and bioinformatic approaches to develop advanced approaches for non-invasive early cancer diagnosis and monitoring. The individual sought will develop innovative big data analytic approaches. Individuals with both computational and experimental skills are also invited to apply.
Candidates should have good programming/informatics skills and a good record of research performance, e.g. have first-author paper(s) in reputable journals.
Los Angeles offers many scientific and educational opportunities, as well as cultural, entertainment and sport activities.
Interested applicants should send curriculum vitae, and contact addresses of two references via email to Prof Jasmine Zhou at xjzhou@mednet.ucla.edu
