Description

The Department of Molecular Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital is a member of Harvard Medical School and is known for cutting-edge biomedical research. As a member of our group, you will contribute to our intensive collaborations within the department, MGH, and HMS, as well as to the dynamic independent research at our lab. Our group's interests are focused on quantitative epigenomics analyses of chromatin regulation and on large-scale analyses of medical patient records to better understand pathophysiology of disease, improve diagnostics, and inform patient treatment. In collaborations with experimental groups, you will work closely with wet-lab and clinical investigators to answer key biomedical questions, with the emphasis on genome-scale data analyses. Your background must demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively and perform high quality analyses of large datasets in a timely manner.
You will have many opportunities to engage in team problem solving, data analysis, and software development. You will contribute code to a shared computational infrastructure and will be expected to meet the high software development standards. You will evaluate existing computational methods and serve as a knowledge resource to collaborators seeking advice about the best tool for a particular problem.
This position provides ample opportunities to publish and present original work performed in both collaborative and independent settings.
