Description

About the lab: The Faryabi Lab is part of the Abramson Cancer Center (ACC) and Institute for Biomedical Informatics (IBI) at the University of Pennsylvania. The primary focus of the lab is elucidating how an oncogenic cell signaling pathway reorganizes tumor epigenome. To this end, our lab benefits from cutting-edge technologies and assays to determine mechanism of epigenetic and chromatin conformation dysregulation in breast cancer and lymphomas.

Qualifications

About the position: A candidate will be part of an enthusiastic interdisciplinary team focused on investigating the 3D genome organization in lymphomas and/or breast cancers using genomics technologies and high-throughput sequencing. The laboratory space is located in the Penn's Abramson Cancer Center and laboratory members will have extensive involvement in the Epigenetics Program in Penn's School of Medicine, which provides a rich multi-disciplinary training environment in molecular biology, genomics, epigenetics, cancer biology, bioinformatics and biostatistics. Candidates are required to hold a PhD, MD, or both. Expertise in computational algorithms and methods is required, including, but not limited to, programing in Python, R, Unix environment, version control, SQL, etc. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in analyzing genome-wide epigenetic data sets.
