Applications are welcome from those with strong interdisciplinary background in any area of applied mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants in Stochastic Modeling with Applications, Applied Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis and Computational Methods. This position is intended for the level of tenure-track assistant professor.
A PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics is required. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated excellent research and teaching, normally including major contributions beyond the doctoral dissertation. Responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses and seminars, conducting scholarly research and participation in departmental and university service activities. Established criteria of the University of California will determine the salary and the level of appointment.
